More on Mayr - the memorial service

I thought, since I have previously spoken ill of the dead, to be fair and balanced as the media requires us all to be, and leads by example, that I should mention this rather moving post by Malcolm Kottler, as posted to the Philosophy of Biology blog by Michael Sprague. Kottler also gives in full the reminiscence by Frank Sulloway.

He was undoubtedly a Great Man. Let the good that he did live after him, and the evil be interred with the petty theses of small-minded philosophers.
